Prepare a complete publication, not just a file
Ana’s editorial plan includes a carousel about a first-night box, a checklist and a page where people can request it. Before promoting it, she needs to check the complete sequence. Accurate slide text cannot make up for a link to another offer or a request that nobody receives.
Gather the carousel, caption, public destination, promised resource and the person responsible for follow-up. Run the walkthrough below with that same offer. You can adapt it to a product page, quote request or booking.
Review what people will actually read
Open every slide at reading size on a phone. Read them in order, including the closing; checking only the cover or thumbnails will miss cropped text and gaps in the explanation. In Ana’s example, readers should understand what to set aside, how to label the box and where to find the list for other rooms.
Content- Content: does the cover ask the question the slides answer? Does each example help readers act on the advice? Does any claim need a source or correction?
- Reading: do text and contrast work without zooming in? Is an important word or detail cut off? For video, does the thumbnail identify the subject before loading?
- Invitation: do the last slide and caption point to the checklist using the same name as the destination? Is it clear where to click?
Check names, dates, sources, image rights and privacy. Professional content needs review by someone responsible for the subject. AI helps with preparation; approval should consider the actual material to be published, not just the request used to generate it.
A concrete correction would be to replace “More in our bio” with “Moving checklist through the link in our bio” and give the link-in-bio button the same name. That removes a navigation question without requiring new illustrations or more text on every slide.

Walk from the link to receipt
Use your own details and identify the test so you do not later count it as a business inquiry. Respect consent and privacy during the walkthrough. Do not trigger real advertising just to find out whether a button responds.
Post- Entry: open the address people will actually use on a phone. If the path includes a bio and link-in-bio page, follow those steps instead of taking an editor shortcut.
- Offer: read the page’s headline, explanation and button. For Ana, all three should present the checklist. Check any external destination too.
- Request: submit the test form and read the final message. Does it say how and when the resource will arrive? A thank-you message does not prove delivery.
- Record: confirm that the request appears in the available records and that the responsible person can find it. Check the submitted channel before replying.
- Delivery: use the delivery method you arranged, open the received file on a phone and check the version. When delivery is manual, test that task too and promise only a timeframe you can meet.
For booking, walk through request and confirmation; a pending request is not a confirmed appointment. For a product page, check the product, terms and button destination. Opening checkout does not require making a real purchase and is not proof of payment.
Record where the walkthrough stopped, what you corrected and what you checked again. If the file works only on your computer, the link leads to the wrong place or nobody can find the request, fix that before promoting the offer.
Schedule and check the saved state
Choose content, date and time. Check the destination account and the official connection available to it. If reconnection is needed, use the platform’s authorization flow; do not share passwords to try to fix the connection.
Wait for confirmation that the schedule was saved and check the calendar entry. Background preparation, a saved schedule and completed publication are different states. Generated content is not permission to publish.
If an error appears, read it and check the current state before repeating the action. If a network or format is unavailable for your account, use the applicable export and manual publication path. Do not plan a campaign around an integration that does not yet work for you.

Open the result on the published channel
After publication, check the slide order, caption, correct profile and path to the offer in the destination app. Confirmation in the calendar does not replace reading the result. Open the public link again: someone may have changed the order of the bio links since your test.
On Instagram, music availability depends on the account and format; the standard carousel does not guarantee automatically added continuous music. Before boosting, check post and music eligibility, audience, budget and duration. Generating content does not set up an advertising campaign or decide how much you should spend.
Review a week with a specific question
Reserve time to answer requests during the week and a separate moment to review the whole picture. Compare the same offer over similar periods. The platform reads metrics through official connections; if a metric is unavailable, do not record it as zero. New permissions may require reconnection.
Help
Explain
InviteIn the fictional example from the conversion guide, eight quote requests led to four suitable contacts, two proposals and one payment by the reporting date. Three unsuitable requests came from outside the service area. A completed review could read:
- Observation: three people requested a service we cannot provide in their area.
- Hypothesis: the service area appears too late on the page. We do not yet know whether that is the only cause.
- Change: put the service area near the service introduction and explain that limit in the next quote-focused post.
- Next check: among new requests for this offer, record how many still come from outside the area and the total number of requests in that period.
The comparison helps guide work; a small sample does not demonstrate causation. Do not change the offer, audience, page and posting frequency at once and expect to know which change mattered. Open proposals and contacts awaiting a reply need their own follow-up, regardless of the editorial test.
Exercise: make a publication note
Write down the piece’s title, offer, public destination, person responsible for follow-up, a response timeframe they can meet, test result and review date. For Ana’s piece, “file received and opened on a phone” is a verifiable result; “page looks good” is not.
Choose one action for the following week based on what you observed: fix the destination, explain the offer better, respond to pending requests or develop another recurring customer question. Reserve calendar time to create, review and respond. Increasing frequency only helps when the rest of this path can keep up.
